For customers: before a visit

  • Clear floors and surfaces where you can.
  • Put away valuables and fragile items.
  • Tell us about pets, delicate surfaces and access.
  • Keep children and pets away from products in use.

For cleaners: using the tools

  • Vacuum cleaner: Empty it before it is full, and use a fine-dust filter after renovation work.
  • Mop and bucket: Work towards the door, and follow the floor maker's guidance on water.
  • Microfiber cloths: Keep separate cloths for kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Brushes: Start with the softest brush, and test on a hidden area first.
  • Squeegee: Wipe the blade between passes, and clean only glass you can reach safely.
  • Protective equipment: Choose protection using the product's label and safety data sheet.

Using cleaning products safely

  • Never mix cleaning products. Some combinations release dangerous gases.
  • Follow the label and safety data sheet for use, ventilation and protection. This guide gives no dilution ratios.
  • Test on a hidden area before using a product on a delicate surface.
  • Keep products in their original containers, away from children and pets.
